Whidbey Playhouse Announces "Would Be Players" Acting Classes for Fall

Whidbey Playhouse is excited to announce the return of its highly anticipated "Would Be Players" acting classes, scheduled for both the spring and fall seasons. These classes offer a unique opportunity for children to delve into the world of theater, providing them with essential skills that go beyond the stage.

Why Theater Training?

Theater training is more than just learning to act. It helps children build self-confidence, appreciate the importance of communication, develop empathy, and use their imagination. These skills are invaluable in everyday life, making this program a perfect choice for young individuals looking to grow both personally and artistically.

Program Highlights

The "Would Be Players" program covers the basics of theater acting, including vocal training, body language, stage presence, and blocking. While there will be some lectures, most sessions are designed to be interactive, featuring acting games that allow students to demonstrate what they've learned. Scripts will be distributed throughout the training, culminating in a final script used for a performance during the last week of classes.
